Fuel For Finals Monday, Nov 30 2009

Eagle Entertainment is busy in the office this week, preparing the last event for the Fall 2009 semester.  Finals Feast is the yummiest of all programs put on this year.

Eagle Entertainment members and Georgia Southern professors serve a breakfast feast to students the week of finals. Eagle Entertainment wants students to take a break from their studies and get together one last time before Winter Break begins.

GSU catering provides all the food FREE to the students. What’s on the menu? Breakfast! Afterall, who doesn’t love breakfast for dinner? Last year the Dean of Students, Georji Lewis, served pancakes to students while they took a break from the books.

Professional massages will be given to anyone that wants one. Games will be played and gingerbread houses will be made as the feasting goes on. GUS Eagle will be at finals feast…will you?

The feasting begins Monday, December 7 at 7 p.m.  Come Hungry!

Good luck on your finals everyone!

Taking Entertainment To The Streets Tuesday, Nov 10 2009

Homecoming 2009 has arrived at Georgia Southern! This year’s theme is Eagles Over The Big Top. Georgia Southern’s Traditions Council has worked hard all year to plan an exciting, eventful week and we are ready for it to begin. Eagle Entertainment is joining in on the festivities…are you?

This past month Eagle Entertainment members have been working hard designing and building the float that we’re entering in the Homecoming Parade this Friday, November 13! Floats, krazy cars, and banners entered in the parade have a chance to win big prizes after the parade at the Circus on the Circle. Eagle Entertainment hopes to be one of the contenders for these big awards!

Make sure to come out to Sweetheart Circle and check-out our float and krazy car!

Pumpkins Galore and More! Monday, Nov 2 2009

One of my favorite things about Halloween is carving pumpkins! Every year growing up, my parents would take my brother and I to a pumpkin patch and let us pick out the perfect pumpkins to carve.

Last week the Office of Student Activities was filled with perfect pumpkins jyst like the ones we would pick with my parents. Then on Thursday night students, professors, and community members met us at the Rotunda outside of the Russell Union for a free pumpkin carving! Want to see more pictures? Check out the Eagle Entertainment website here.

We hope you got more treats than tricks this year!
